My last post just reminded me of another outage I came across recently. I'm not sure if it's reassuring or scary that the biggest of big boys get it wrong...

HM Revenue & Customs site down

I was just asked by a client why they couldn't access the HMRC website. The answer? It's fallen over!

Their SSL cert is a self-signed one and expired at that, and the site itself is down...
